There is no doubt in my mind that the war against Christ and His Holy Gospel have reached a fever pitch in the West. Among its most visible battles is the prescription that everyone ought to say “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”. Proponents claim that to do so is more virtuous because it is less exclusionary and more respectful of those that do not celebrate Christmas. Unfortunately, not a few gullible Christians have fallen for the trap, unwittingly joining the enemy’s efforts to repress one of the very last cultural allusions to Christ that exist in the once proudly Christian West.
How to fight back against the sourpuss insurgents? Simple: When sanctimoniously told “Happy Holidays”, reply “Merry Christmas”. If the person insists, poignantly ask the following rhetorical question: “Does it look like I celebrate Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, that fake holiday?” Some will retreat and say no more, tucking their tail between their legs and scattering off like the kittens they are. Others, especially the more impudent kind, will probably proceed to lecture the reader on the need to be “inclusive” or some other supposed moral excellence that secularism demands (this in contrast to their virtuous infanticide or sodomizing, as an example). Proceed to inform the vulturous conversationalist that their view, far from being virtuous, is instead inherently contradictory and repressive.
Your reply will sound something like this: “Well, if inclusion is what you seek, why didn’t ask me first what I celebrate instead of presuming that that generic and insulting phrase gives you cover? Additionally, aren’t you being exclusionary by uttering a phrase that is inherently meant to reduce Christmas to irrelevancy? I’m not a Jew and I’m not an pan-African Supremacist that is overjoyed at the release of Wakanda Forever. It’ll be ‘Merry Christmas’, thank you very much! By the way, Jesus loves you and died for you on a wretched cross. That’s why Christmas is greater than any other celebration.” At this point, it is quite appropriate for you to enjoy the greatly baffled look on the SJW’s face as you ride off into the sunset with a wry smile on yours, knowing you fought the good fight.
